What's perhaps most surprising is that Shatner isn't the weak link in this dud. To be sure, Jonathan Sadowski is a pitifully-poor actor and certainly not strong enough to hang a show on, but even beyond that, the writing is just terribly flat, dull, and stomps all over whatever comedic timing the actors o have.
